Holiday Make-Up Tip

Happy Thanksgiving Make-Up Addicts,

Sorry, I know it has been a while since my last post. With the holidays already here things have gotten a little crazy, but I can't forget about you all so I have to give you a little holiday make-up tip.

With the holidays finally here we are looking for new looks to wear and fun holiday makeup to play with, but keep this in mind.

1) When applying eyeshadow always start with a good primer and base as this is going to set the foundation of your look.

2) Remember to use at least one matte color on your eyes to add depth and texture.

3) Always leave room under your brow for a highlight color.

4) Groom your eyebrows and eyelashes as this makes a huge difference in the final product.

5) And finally, have fun with all the new holiday makeup out there, no look is out of reach!!!

I hope you all find this tip useful as you prepare your Turkey Day look!!! Stay healthy, stay beautiful, and definitely stay addicted to make-up!

Make-up Tip of the Week

Hi Make-Up Addicts,

I hope you all have been enjoying the looks I have been posting. I have been getting requests to post some "how to" videos so be on the lookout for those.

So I have yet another makeup tip for all you makeup addicts out there! For longer lasting lip color and to prevent your lip liner from bleeding apply a small amount of either concealer or foundation to your lips before you apply your lip color. This will prevent the lip liner from bleeding as well as keep your lip color in place longer.

Part 2 of the tip: When you apply your lip color use a brush and blend the lip liner in so when your color begins to fade you have an even fade and not a harsh lip liner line with no lip color!

I hope you all find this tip helpful! Stay healthy, stay beautiful and definitely stay addicted to make-up!

Singed,

Make-up Addict

Make-Up Tip

Hi Makeup Addicts,

I hope you are all checking out the site and enjoying all the blogs! So here is my tip of the week! If you do not have one already, I recommend you go out and invest in a white eyeliner. Yes ladies that's right a white eyeliner!

I know it sounds crazy but here is how you use it. On a day where concealer is just not cutting it and you had way too much fun the night before and it shows...throw some white eyeliner on your waterline and your eyes will open and look gorgeous and bright! I'll try to post a look so you can see the difference, but truly this is a great tip that most do not know!

Well, I hope you all enjoyed the tip of the week. Stay tuned for more pics, blogs and ideas...stay healthy, stay beautiful, and definitely stay addicted to makeup!

Make-up Tip

Hi Make-up Addicts,

I hope you enjoyed the new look I posted last night. I am going to try and post at least 2 new looks a week. I will always list what I used to make by look but by all means if you don't have that color just find a color you have that is similar. I welcome your feedback on my looks or on how to make my site better. If you would like to see certain looks or get certain advice, please ask!

So I am going to give my first blog tip! If you are in a rush and need to take your look from day to night in a flash try this: Add black eyeliner to your eyes, freshen your mascara, take a deep plum or a deep red lipstick or gloss whichever you prefer and add a touch of bronzing powder to your face and I guarantee you will be ready for cocktail hour in a flash!

Stay tuned for more pics, tips and blogs...and don't forget, stay healthy, stay beautiful and definitely stay addicted to make-up!!! :-)

Your Truly,

Make-up Addict

Beginning of a new era

Hello Everyone,

This is my first blog ever so please don't criticize me too much. I had a house guest this past weekend who suggested to me that I should move into the 21st century and start blogging about all my interest, that I would be surprised to see how many people share my interests. So here goes nothing!

First and foremost I love crafts and creative activities. When I was 9 years old my mother taught me how to cook beef stew and my life has not been the same ever since. I took to cooking like a duck to water. Now that I am married and cook daily I realized how much a love being creative with what I am cooking and daring to try new and unusual things.

Over the past 6 years I have developed a real addiction to makeup. I used to be the type of girl that thought women should just be natural. No makeup, yes wax your eyebrows by all means, but don't cake all that crap on your face...I was anti-makeup!!!

It all started with a boss I had when I was 19. I worked at Charlotte Russe as a retail associate. Every single day she would come to work looking like she just stepped out of a photo shoot. I would tell her all the time how gorgeous her makeup looked. After about a year of working with her she sent me to the MAC counter and asked her girl to make my face up. She did just a great job...I was in love...with MAC! I bought the entire face she put on me and that was the end of my anti-makeup belief!

My husband, then my boyfriend, didn't take to this very well. He liked my "natural beauty" so he calls it and knew too that MAC was not a cheap makeup. Since then I have acquired about 160 MAC eye shadows, 40 MAC Lipglasses, and...well, you get the picture...I AM ADDICTED!

I have been applying makeup to my face now for 6 years and my skill is only getting better. I have never taken a cosmetology class, but I have to admit I am GREAT at applying makeup, especially eyeshadow. I love it. It makes me feel so high fashion and so glamorous!

Stay tuned for pics and more blogs about my makeup addiction! Stay healthy, stay beautiful, and definitely stay addicted to make-up! :-)
